Dr. Joseph Willis
Dr. Willis’ service to the South Louisiana community began in 1998 through ministry work during his seminary studies at St. Joseph Seminary College, where he was discerning the Catholic priesthood and later graduated. He continued his ministry as a Theology teacher at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. After six years of teaching, he began his medical journey, attending medical school and completing his residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Dr. Joseph Willis
Dr. Willis’ service to the South Louisiana community began in 1998 through ministry work during his seminary studies at St. Joseph Seminary College, where he was discerning the Catholic priesthood and later graduated. He continued his ministry as a Theology teacher at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. After six years of teaching, he began his medical journey, attending medical school and completing his residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Dr. Willis went on to practice dermatology at the Veterans Affairs hospital in New Orleans, where he was devoted to caring for U.S. veterans. During his nine years there, he also served as a faculty member for both Tulane and LSU Dermatology residency programs. He is both professionally and personally dedicated to the South Louisiana community—first as a father of four, and also as a physician.
Today, he continues to serve the community as a dermatologist with Benson Dermatology, practicing in Covington and Ponchatoula. As a father, his greatest adventures come from raising his four children—whether enjoying South Louisiana’s culinary culture, going on outdoor excursions like fishing and kayaking, or sharing his love for the rich liturgical tradition of the Catholic faith.

Caitlin is a board-certified physician assistant. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2009 and later earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2016. Caitlin and her husband lived in New Orleans for three years before moving back to her home of Tangipahoa Parish to start their family. They now have two daughters and a beloved French Bulldog. Caitlin loves practicing in the small town where she was raised and enjoys making new connections with her patients as well as treating familiar faces.
