Dr. Joseph Willis
Dr. Willis’ service to the South Louisiana community began in 1998 through ministry work during his seminary studies at St. Joseph Seminary College, where he was discerning the Catholic priesthood and later graduated. He continued his ministry as a Theology teacher at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. After six years of teaching, he began his medical journey, attending medical school and completing his residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Dr. Joseph Willis
Dr. Willis’ service to the South Louisiana community began in 1998 through ministry work during his seminary studies at St. Joseph Seminary College, where he was discerning the Catholic priesthood and later graduated. He continued his ministry as a Theology teacher at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. After six years of teaching, he began his medical journey, attending medical school and completing his residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Dr. Willis went on to practice dermatology at the Veterans Affairs hospital in New Orleans, where he was devoted to caring for U.S. veterans. During his nine years there, he also served as a faculty member for both Tulane and LSU Dermatology residency programs. He is both professionally and personally dedicated to the South Louisiana community—first as a father of four, and also as a physician.
Today, he continues to serve the community as a dermatologist with Benson Dermatology, practicing in Covington and Ponchatoula. As a father, his greatest adventures come from raising his four children—whether enjoying South Louisiana’s culinary culture, going on outdoor excursions like fishing and kayaking, or sharing his love for the rich liturgical tradition of the Catholic faith.

Kamryn King, PA-C
Kamryn’s love for dermatology began at a young age. Her own struggles with acne introduced her to the specialty — and ultimately to the Physician Assistant profession. That personal experience shaped her heart for patient care and allows her to deeply connect with those she treats. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside patients through their skin concerns, offering both medical expertise and genuine understanding.
Dermatology is truly her passion. Whether treating acne, skin cancer, rashes, or stubborn warts, Kamryn is dedicated to helping patients feel confident and comfortable in their skin. She believes in listening carefully, educating thoroughly, and creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Kamryn serves patients at the Ponchatoula and Amite locations. With her husband’s deep roots in Amite, she feels honored to serve the community that raised him and welcomed her as their own.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU).
Kamryn is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Outside of the clinic, Kamryn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants, cheering on the LSU Tigers, attending church, and traveling with her husband — her high school sweetheart.
