Dr. Benson was Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1980 after serving as Chief Resident of the combined LSU-Tulane residency program. Since 1980, when he became the first dermatologist in Tangipahoa Parish, he has endeavored to provide specialized care to the citizens of the Florida Parishes, and has accumulated over 60,000 patients in the process, despite five years residing in New Zealand during the mid-90s.

With over twenty-five years of experience in medicine, nurse practitioner Sandy Thornhill joined the staff in 2005 and adds the woman's touch to our services.

Together they diagnose and treat all dermatologic problems with compassion and a level of worldwide experience unparalleled in our area. The focus of patient care is on quick, practical results with a minimum of office visits unless required. Our staff is highly trained in dermatologic care, and has consistently earn high marks with patients for their service-oriented professionalism and friendly, caring attitudes.
